Goodbye...?

You know.....I didn't realized that I never offically "closed" my blog and say goodbye to everyone.  I now just take it one day at a time.  I really didn't continue to update this blog, because I didn't want to lie and make everything seems as if it is picture perfect.  AND.....I sure didn't want to post on one of those "days" and someone read it and think that I have totally lost my mind.  (Which somedays, I was very close to that.)

I can say that things are BETTER.  Not good, but better.  Things seem to be better with Duce and I.....therefore, better with everything else.  Sometimes, I have to stop and think that she is innocent and didn't ask for any of this, but at the same time, realizing that I can't sacrifice my family just to please her.  And I won't.  The attachment is not going well at all.  She seem to be fine with Duce, but she knows how to play her cards with him.  Her and Noah seem to be getting better and better.  But, she and I are not.  And, I do not blame it all on her.  I will take most of the responsiblity.  She is a VERY difficult child.  I just hope that one day I can look back on all of this and laugh about it.  But, until then, I will try my hardest  (with a little help from plum wine;) of course) to be the best that I can be for my family.

I am thinking about making this blog private and start posting more often in depth about what is going on.

til later....

SORRY!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post.  I have came here a few times to update, but never got around to it. Things have not been the best around our house lately and I hate to pretend that they are.  Mari has been lying, alot.  Lying for no reason what so ever.  Duce and I have been butting (is that really a word?) heads more often than usual.  (We RARELY have a disagreement, and here lately, it has been alot.  We will get through this, just one step at a time.  Mari knows how to play us.

So, no long post today.  So sorry about that!  Just wanted all of my bogging buddies (lou) to know I am praying for you through all of these Guatemalan adoption changes and HANG IN THERE!

GOSH.....CHRISTmas is here!

Can't believe this time is here already! The kids are going to be so much fun this year. I asked Mari what she wanted for Christmas & she replied....PRESENTS, Mom......Like, why are you asking me that!

We had our first scare night before last with her. She and Noah got an early Christmas present! a PUPPY!! Yes, a real one. Well, actually their Daddy needed a new hunting buddy since Gauge (his 10 year old lab) died. Found the PERFECT one! Anyway, Daddy & I were outside and Noah comes out & says, MOM.....Mari's got a bump on her head! Dad asks, is it bad....hihiihihihi! (DAD'S ARE SO SILLY) he said YEP! We went in there & she looked like a boxer on TV. It was HUGE. Called up the ole pediatrician in Biloxi (Uncle Richard) and he said she is fine! Headed out to go to the emergency room and ended up at our friend's house who is a nurse practitioner. She said not need to sped 6 hours in ER....she is now fine sporting a PURPLE eye!

She then decided that she would like a YELLOW one to match on the other side so she could have LSU colors! hhihihihihihihih!  Crazy girl!!

Not many shopping days til Christmas!  Get your butts in gear~!

WOW!

I started not to post this, but I just HAD TO!

OK.....please do not take offense to this. Stop reading if you do not like the "F" word! :) (Sorry, Mom!) And...just for the record....we do NOT use this word in our house.

I picked Mari up from school yesterday & here is the conversation we had:

Mom: Baby, how was school today?

Mari: Good....we had fun, Momma.

Mom: GREAT! What did you do?

Mari: Me & Michael (boy in class) made a fuck today, Momma! (SOUNDING SO PROUD!)

Mom: GASPING.....you made a what?

Mari: A fuck, Momma.

Mom: A truck?

Mari: No Mam'...... A FUCK. (Getting a bit plainer now)

Mom: (TOTALLY LAUGHING MY BUTT OFF!)

Mari: Momma, why you laugh? You want to see my fuck?

Mom: SURE!

So, out of her folder she pulls out a puzzle & I have to try to put the fuck together before I can see what she made.

I KNEW she was saying it wrong but she was CERTAIN that she made a fuck.

Wanna see her fuck?........

It is a FROG!!!!

We came back to my work & I told her to tell me friend, Kim, what she made at school today.  Ms. Kim almost died laughing!  She said......Ms. Kim, My Mom laughted at my fuck.  We were rolling.  Her Dad didn't think it was cute! ;)

Noah gets here from school & she told him....Noah, I made a fuck at school today & my Mom laughed.  He said A FROG?  He understands her SO much!

SORRY, Again, Mom!!  ;)  I love you!
